WOTTS - Omens video

Spotlight Ottawa is excited to feature the premiere of wotts new video for Omens off their latest album b!

According to Jayem (1/2 of wotts’ vocals), “For us this song is about persevering no matter how bleak things appear or how society perceives you. The way we see it even when things are at there worst, stay true to yourself and what makes you unique, that’ll be your spark when all the lights go out.”

The track was produced by Alex Jakimczuk and features Dynamite Motel.

“We’ve worked with Dynamite Motel in the past but this collaboration was on another level. I think it has to do with the song’s message, we’ve all struggled in our own ways in life and this was our outlet to talk about it. Her talent is so special, we feel honoured to have had her influence our music,” shared Ryan “FRDO” Farrell (guitar).

The video for Omens was directed, filmed and edited by Michael McLaughlin of Seek Artistry.

Ryan had the following to say about working with Michael. “When we first met Mike, you could tell straight away this was someone we wanted to work with. His professionalism and talent is off the charts. Seeing our vision of the song come to life with his visuals is truly amazing.”

Local hip-hop fans will probably recognize Alex Silas as one of the actors.

Check out the video, and then go listen to the rest of b!
