Bonnell is supporting her new record Hunt and Chase, which has been receiving glowing reviews. Her music is an image-heavy blend of folk-rock and indie-pop, and her singing voice gives her songs a wide emotional and melodic range. Hunt and Chase was released by Toronto-based label Nevado Records.
Another Nevado artist, Emilie Mover infuses her indie-pop with a jazz background. She is touring her spring 2013 record Mighty Time. Her wide range of influences have never been more apparent than on her new album, which changes things up far more often than her simpler and perhaps more accessible previous record Seems So Long.
Bonnell and Mover will be joined by folk-rockers Peas & Carrots.
The show is on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at Raw Sugar Café. Doors are at 8:00, and the show starts at 8:30.
