Last Thursday, The Balconies returned home for a show at the LiVE Lounge. They were joined by the Birthday Boys and The Gallop.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to catch The Gallop, as I was checking out the Babes4Breasts benefit.
Hitting the stage next were the Birthday Boys. The played a highly energetic set. Their sound was a mix of rock, and a heavy blues that was more evident towards the end of the set. The crowd definitely enjoyed what they heard. Make sure you check them out the next time they’re in town.
It was great to see The Balconies back on stage in Ottawa again. Jacquie was her usual energetic self. The band sounded great! I’m really looking forward to the next album. The new songs they featured were sounding really strong. If you’re desperate for new music now, you can always order a copy of their Kill Count 7″ Vinyl. Give it a few listens and you won’t be able to get Kill Count and Tiger out of your head for days.
