The Jimmy Tri-Tone Band

Saturday Sept 16, 2017 – 11:00 PM – Pints & Quarts (779 Bank St)

What was your reaction to the news you’d be a part of Marvest and who was the first person you told?
Randelle: We found out by e-mail. I opened it and ran outside to tell James. We are very excited to be a part of Marvest this year.

Please describe your sound.
We’re a folk-rock duo with a full band sound.

How did you get started on your musical journey?
We both grew up in the small town of Almonte but only met about 7 years ago. We played in a couple bands together. He played lead guitar and I played keys. I didn’t have much experience playing in a band and only played by reading music but James broke me out of that. We ended up moving in together and in early 2013, we formed The Jimmy Tri-Tone Band. We started out playing once or twice a month but quickly progressed to over 150 shows each year. It’s been an amazing journey so far. We’re livin’ the dream!

What can music fans expect from your show? Will you be playing or releasing any new music?
Music fans can expect a boot stompin’ good time! We’ll be playing a few unreleased tunes and some from our last two albums. We are excited to have brand new merch for this show! We’ll have our hand made leather and hemp bracelets and lots more.

What artists are you hoping to catch during this year’s Cityfolk and Marvest?
We’re really looking forward to the other 2 acts that will be joining us at Pints & Quarts on Saturday: Ghostly Hounds and Gentlemen of the Woods. We’re also excited to catch some of our good friends play, especially Mister & His Sister and Vicki Brittle.
