What was your reaction to the news you’d be a part of Marvest and who was the first person you told?
I was having a jam session at my manager’s place when he let me know i would be performing Marvest. I was excited and motivated. Motivated because the announcement came as an evidence of growth with having no new music out for months. Motivated because Marvest is a stepping stone to more festivals and opportunities. Black Irish, a talented local Hiphop Act was the first person to hear about the lineup. We were both at my manager’s spot jamming out. The first person i told though was …the band!

Please describe your sound.
My sound is a melting pot of different musical & cultural influences. its an experimental sound blurring the lines that separate hip-hop from rap and a bit of poetry.

How did you get started on your musical journey?
I started quite a while ago, rapping along to my favs and going to studios to watch artists record, then i got into writing my own songs and recording.

What can music fans expect from your show? Will you be playing or releasing any new music?
You can expect a sonic party with the SetUp (my live band). I’ll have the crew supporting my set with some live instrumentation as we journey through my next project to be released in 2017.

What artists are you hoping to catch during this year’s Cityfolk and Marvest?
RuthB for sure… oh and also Rblx. Rblx and I play on the same day. We’ve kicked it a couple times at jam sessions so it would be great seeing them perform live.
