It was a night filled with music lovers, great beer and superb musicians at the amazing new venue for intimate sized shows in the Ottawa region, Overflow Brewing Company.

The night began with the building already bursting at the seems with a sold out crowd as the first set of the evening hit the stage, the Keith Glass band. They got the crowd started and they did it as though they have done it for years, they have been, stemming from previous members of Prarie Oyster.

Next on stage we had the pleasure of listening to a Canadian Blues spectacle with the Paul Deslauriers Band, after winning the Maple Blues Award as ‘Entertainer of the Year’ for the second year in a row, also winning for ‘Eclectic Act of the Year’, ‘Bassist of the Year’ and ‘Drummer of the Year’. It is no secret that they are coming in hot.

Monkey Junk, two time Juno Award winners for best blues album were the final act of the evening. You could hear their following was in the building, with a majority knowing every last song and word as they sang along.

This extraordinarily talented and energetic group did not disappoint, closing out with a mixed encore from the bands of the night, it was a night to remember for the Overflow Brewing Company.
