Jack Johnson was the headliner on day 2 of this year’s festival. I was looking forward to his performance as he had just released a new album recently. I’ve only seen him once previously, at Cityfolk back in 2017. His hummable mellow tunes are perfect for an outdoor show under the night sky.

The surprise discovery for me on this second evening was Tash Sultana. Come the end of the festival, I think they might be my favorite discovery this year. The live looping to start the set was fantastic! So much energy on stage!

Night 2 also included a host of great locals taking the stage. I was able to catch performances from Nambi & The Rhythm, Mack & Ben and Amanda Lowe, all for the first time. Nambi and Mack & Ben both played fun sets that made it hard for anyone watching to stand still, while Amanda’s laid back style and story telling between songs was perfect inside the Barney Danson Theatre.
