Make your way to the Rainbow Bistro Friday September 21st for an evening of blistering hot blues riffage with StillNative and Ross Neilson! These two acts have the mojo to get your toes tapping out on the dance floor, and enough firepower to boil blood. The Rainbow Bistro hosts Ross Neilsen as he tours his new album “The Shack Up Sessions” at the oldest blues bar in town! Supporting Ross is local homegrown talent StillNative; self-proclaimed Rawbeat rockers, this duo wields a greasy groovy like no other. Doors open at 9pm.

On Saturday September 22 you can catch The Besnard Lakes from Montreal. Joining them on stage will be 2 great Ottawa acts, last year’s Big Money Shot winners The Love Machine and Jonathan Chandler and members of Amos the Transparent. Everything goes down at Mavericks. Advance tickets are $15 (+ service charges) and you can grab them at Vertigo Records, the Record Shaap and online at www.ticketweb.ca.

Also on Saturday, catch Sound of Lions and Babe at Zaphods. Sound of Lions will debuting some new songs after having taken a little break from performing to record some new material. Advance tickets are $7. Doors are at 8pm.
