Colin Moore – Live @ The Rainbow

This past Saturday, I was able to catch Colin Moore perform at The Rainbow. He threw down a great set. I was lucky to hear my 2 favourite songs (3 Fat Pills and Disease) off his debut album ‘Leaving Home’. You can check out both those songs on his myspace page. Backed by a full band, his set was a little more rocking than I was expecting from listening to his album. Definitely a nice surprise for myself, although he made sure to keep the ladies happy as well with his softer side. Check him out if you get the chance!

Supporting were Lindsay Barr and the Bullies and Riktah. Lindsay had a bluesy funk style. She also played a great set. The crowd definitely responded to her as evidenced by the stream of cd sales afterwards.

Riktah was the opener and this was their first show together. They are good friends of Colin’s and he was able to talk them into to coming out to perform. I’m glad he did. Hopefully they’ll be back soon.

The Rainbow is a great place to catch a show in Ottawa! I can’t believe I haven’t been to this venue before.
