Check out the fantastic second single Same Old Me from Ottawa duo Buck N’ Nice. You can find it on their debut album Us Versus Them, available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and physical CD.
When asked to share a little background on their latest song, So Nice revealed, “In this introspective, inward-looking song, SawBuck lays it all on the line for the listener as he gives them some insight into his past, and how it has shaped him to become the strong, driven person he is today. The song speaks to the theme of not allowing your troubled past to become an obstacle to your future, using one’s indignant mind-state as fuel towards a more positive grind. With that said, it also references the truth in that, even when people change, others don’t always accept it. Sometimes even the people who try to make better life choices have a hard time moving on from the past. We may change what and how we do things, but deep down, we’re still the same people. It’s not always easy to make the right choices, but that’s what makes it all the more important to push through the mind state we know is wrong.”
Give it a listen! I have many times already.
