Q&A

What was your reaction to the news you’d be a part of Bluesfest and who was the first person you told?
Bluesfest has been a part of my musical journey for many years, and this is the very first year i’ll be playing on an outdoor stage, later in the evening- with the very same band I started here with, many years ago at “She’s The One”. I was beyond excited when I got the offer. As per usual, I called my ma and pa first.

Please describe your sound.
Folk/Rock/Singer Songwriter with a splash of soul.

How did you get started on your musical journey?
I got started on my musical journey at a very young age. I have been so fortunate to have supportive parents that allowed me to dream as large as I wanted since I could walk and talk. I took many music lessons in my hometown, did a few years of Royal Conservatory, and really began to be anywhere I could, making music, once I could drive my little Honda Civic to gigs and jams. One thing lead to another and here we are!

What can music fans expect from your show? Will you be playing any new music at Bluesfest and/or releasing new music ahead of your performance?
The audience at Blues fest can expect a high energy, community driven and connecting show. I enjoy using the power of music to remind people this is their time to give us their emotions, cry- sing- laugh – dance. We are here to take that energy and release it through the music. I will be playing my newest single released on June 3rd “Come Home”, as well as an Unreleased special surprise for the audience.

What artists are you hoping to catch during this year’s Bluesfest?
Oh my I have so many. My heart THRIVES in the setting of live music, so I will be catching as many shows as possible throughout the whole duration of Bluesfest, but a few must sees for me are Alannis, Nathaniel Rateliff, Tash Sultana, The Beaches, and Sum 41, along with a few others!
