Q&A

What was your reaction to the news you’d be a part of Bluesfest and who was the first person you told?
This will be my third time playing Bluesfest, but it’s always fun and exciting to be a part of it – I love playing our local music festivals! I was originally supposed to play in 2020, so it’s great to finally have things up and running again after the 2 year break due to COVID. My music partner/director Richard Page is usually the first person I tell about any gigs!

Please describe your sound.
Neo-Soul/Pop

How did you get started on your musical journey?
I’ve been performing and writing music since I was very young. It’s always been something I’m very passionate about. I studied vocal performance in university, and I’ve been doing it professionally now for almost 10 years. I’m currently working on my third EP to be released in 2023.

What can music fans expect from your show? Will you be playing any new music at Bluesfest and/or releasing new music ahead of your performance?
If you like Amy Winehouse, Lake Street Dive, Adele or Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, then you don’t want to miss our set! Featuring some of Ottawa’s best soul/jazz musicians, we bring the heat (even if we are inside Barney Danson theatre with AC).

What artists are you hoping to catch during this year’s Bluesfest?
I can’t wait to see TLC live!
