Beginning her career with an impromptu duet with Lady Gaga during her ArtRave tour in Montreal, queer artist and Ottawa native Michelle Treacy is unapologetically blazing her own path. With over 3M Spotify streams to date, a major label deal soon followed & 16 weeks on Billboard Hot 100 with her hit “Armageddon”. The songstress then went on to win CTV’s The Launch, releasing “Emotional” with legendary producer Nile Rodgers. Now releasing music independently, the reinvention of Michelle Treacy fuses glam, soul, funk, and psychedelic rock to feed your heart and move your body.

Who was the first person you told you were performing at Bluesfest this year?
When I found out I was playing Bluesfest I called my mom and brother. Growing up in Ottawa it’s been a childhood dream of mine to perform at Bluesfest and I’m so excited.

How did you get started on your musical journey?
I began my career with an impromptu duet with Lady Gaga during her ArtRave tour in Montreal.

Will you be playing any new music at Bluesfest and/or releasing/released new music ahead of your performance?
I will be playing a 60 minute set with a bunch of new songs. I will be releasing a music video for my latest single Easy Money within the month then a new single release after my performance.
What artists are you hoping to catch during this year’s Bluesfest?
