Q&A

What was your reaction to the news you’d be a part of Bluesfest and who was the first person you told?
I was super excited. any chance to play in my home town is amazing, but to share the bluesfest stage with with some of my favourite artists is a dream. the first person I told was my girlfriend.

Please describe your sound.
Emotional easy listening pop. I’m really romantic about great story telling and symbolism in my songwriting.

How did you get started on your musical journey?
My dad taught me how to play the guitar when I was 8 or so. from there I started djing when I was 14 and that turned to music production. Singing my own songs started as a passion project, but I quickly realized people were connecting to the stories. ultimately that gave me the confidence to keep putting my solo stuff out.

What can music fans expect from your show? Will you be playing any new music at Bluesfest and/or releasing new music ahead of your performance?
Definitely some new music. I try and incorporate a mix of high energy and continuous stimulus. Very excited to debut my new song ILU at the festival.

What artists are you hoping to catch during this year’s Bluesfest?
I’m very excited to see JESSIA as she’s just the most incredible human. Also Rage Against The Machine because that’s my entire childhood.
