Eazy Finesse is a new generation rap artist who merges influences from Hip-hop, Soul/R&B and raw elements of Drill and Trap with her cultural background to bring an authentic vibe. She draws inspiration from the likes of Jazmine Sullivan to MoneyBagg Yo, and the versatility speaks through her music! She started creating in 2018, but knew her passion long before, when she started writing songs in elementary school. Her goal is to empower other female artists to believe in themselves and do the things that they love with no doubts, and not to let negative influences dictate their future!

Who was the first person you told you were performing at Bluesfest this year?
My manager Noel broke me the news, I was so excited!

Please describe your sound.
My sound is based in Melodic Hip-hop blending R&B into hood melodies.

How did you get started on your musical journey?
The inspiration was through my cousin Miss Winny who was my only other collaborator who loved music just as much as I did.

What’s your connection to Ottawa and the local music scene?
I’m born and raised in the South Side of Ottawa a neighborhood that has a strong passion for music, its a hotbed of local talent. So most of my circle of friends were and are involved in music, arts and culture.

Will you be playing any new music at Bluesfest and/or releasing/released new music ahead of your performance?
Most definitely. I’m featured on a new release dropping June 23’rd it’s a song by All Cap YOw featuring Me, GG Chevy and Casper TNG. I’ll also be releasing a new single called “Way 2 Federal” on August 2. For my live set, I will be performing Way 2 Federal and some other new songs with local collaborations (featuring Rebel Vfterpvrty and Baebe Ruth).

What artists are you hoping to catch during this year’s Bluesfest?
Dax, Ludacris and Koffee!

Any performances people could catch ahead of Bluesfest?
I was at NXNE on Friday June 16th and I performed at halftime for the Ottawa BlackJacks game on Saturday June 17th. I’ll be working in the studio and rehearsing for Bluesfest over the coming weeks.
