If you like your music loud and heavy, then the LiVE Lounge was the place to be last Thursday for the Big Money Shot. Hitting the stage were Fall of Knowledge, Descendant, FutureSnake, Down In Ashes and The Bigmuffs. I’m sure this will be the heaviest night of the concert series.
Heading out to the show, the only band I was familiar with was Down In Ashes. I must say, these guys have come a long way since I first saw them in the competition 4 or 5 years ago. Their following has grown and is very loyal, with some people having travelled from Montreal and Belleville to support them. Catch a performance if you get the chance!
Descendant also threw down a great set. I also had fun trying to catch some hair whips with my camera. If you’re a fan of Down In Ashes, you’ll most likely enjoy these guys too!
I’m quite shocked by the number of drummers with mic’s this year for backing vocals. But more shocking is when the drummer is singing lead. Such was the case with FutureSnake. This 3 piece impressed and had a nice groove to their set.
Unfortunately I was only able to catch a few songs from both Fall of Knowledge and The Bigmuffs.
