Night 2 of LiVE 88.5‘s Big Money Shot concerts did not disappoint. Taking the stage for the evening were The Watters Brothers, Alexy & The Other Side, Fire and Neon, The Love Machine and Hearts & Mines.
Apologies to The Watters Brothers for the lack of photos. I had a wake to attend and wasn’t able to get there in time for their set.
It was my first time seeing the rest of the bands. I was really impressed with the performances. Alexy had a strong stage presence and a good selection of songs to go with it.
It was hard for anyone to stand still when Fire and Neon took the stage. A fusion of many styles, their songs were laced with catchy rhythms and great beats. Take in a performance when you get the chance! You won’t be disappointed.
The Love Machine struck me with their energy and vocal harmonies, in addition to their top notch song writing. I was given a copy of their Sweater Weather cd after the performance. It’s well worth a listen if you haven’t checked it out yet. I expect you’ll be hearing more about them in the future.
Despite being last up, Hearts & Mines devoted following stuck around until the very end. They were treated to an energetic performance with powerful vocals from lead vocalist and guitarist Matt Luloff. Drummer Jason Watts layed down a powerful beat to match.
The judges were obviously impressed as well, as 3 of the 5 bands made it into the top 6. Congratulations to Fire and Neon, The Love Machine and Hearts & Mines!
I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of all these bands on Spotlight in the future.
