On Friday, October 2nd 2015, head on down to Pressed Cafe (750 Gladstone) where you can catch locals Future States and Valois, as well as Mandarin Dynasty from Portland, Oregon.
The 3 bands are coming together for a benefit show to assist local musician Megan Miller, who is trying to return to the USA to re-join her amazing band And The Kids (Listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogSaBugzNtU”).
Megan, who is from Ottawa, is dealing with some immigration problems. The show will assist her with legal costs to sort out her immigration issues, so she can get back to her band and keep making really amazing art.
Megan will be playing as part of Valois! Nathan Tappin will be doing projections! Funds raised will be donated to Megan to help pay for costs associated with border crossing!
Cover is only $8 and the doors open at 8. The show will be over by 11. It is an all ages show, and licensed. If you’re looking for something to do, come out and help one of Ottawa’s own.
